Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) first sponsored the annual State of the Nation: K-12 e-Learning in Canada study from 2011-16 and again in 2024, before returning as a sponsor this year. Based in Kelowna, BC, for over twenty-two years, HCOS has provided province-wide home-based online and blended education, and since 2023, blended learning through its Flex Academy school. With teachers based all around the province, the school enables a community-centric design for online learners and families, including in-person weekly learning in 27 different locations.
