Dear Thought Leader,
On the eve of Canada’s 150th anniversary we’re thrilled to launch our 9th Canada’s Classroom of the Future Challenge! We are inviting teachers and students to share their vision of a ‘future ready’ classroom to qualify and WIN 1 of 3 makerspace prize packages.
2017 also marks another important milestone–my 20th year in EdTech and launching TLC School Canada! I will be blogging about my experiences. Perhaps there’s a book in the making! Most importantly, I’ve never been more passionate about learning and innovation and continuing to make an impact on a national scale through MindShare Learning and C21 Canada. I often say these days, it’s never been a more exciting time to be in education!
Watch for our “NEW” and “Improved” MindShare Report next month as we also celebrate our 10th anniversary of our eMag! A reader survey is also forthcoming.
Canada made its mark at the Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) in Orlando last week! The more I immerse myself in EdTech, the clearer I see it’s about people, community and tech-infused pedagogy; partly inspired by my time at FETC. With over 200 Canadians in attendance, MindShare was thrilled to once again partner with LRP conference ownership as a media partner. Some 100 education and technology leaders attended our memorable CanAm Celebration of Excellence Partnering reception. Special thanks to sponsors of our CanAm: LRP, Hapara, Acumen Partners and West Corp. Be sure to checkout FETC highlights and an exclusive podcast with Peter Singh, Toronto District School Board, CTO, who provides a Canadian perspective on the FETC conference.
I trust you’ll enjoy this special Online Learning Edition, Cross Canada spotlight on the highly innovative province of Saskatchewan. Perhaps a well kept secret; however, it’s home to some amazing ed tech leaders; Kathy Cassidy, Couros brothers (George and Dr. Alec), Dean Shareski, Dr. Guy Tetrault (Be sure to check out his podcast!) and Shelley Wright.
Special thanks to our readers, partners, sponsors, advisory board members and our team. It truly takes a digital village to create a community of leaders and learners in the 21st century.
Until next time, keep the digital learning curve steep!
P.S. Be sure to mark your calendars for this Fall’s 8th Canadian EdTech Leadership Summit at MaRsDD, Monday, November 6, 2017
