The Ministry of Education and Child Care contributes information and data annually to the State of the Nation report and provides in-kind supports to its publication through its branches and units. With the loss of its original publisher, the Open School BC unit became the first Canadian publisher of the annual State of the Nation: K-12 e-Learning in Canada reports. As the first Canadian publisher, the design team at Open School BC created a new Canadian-themed cover for the report that continues to be used. Open School BC sits within the Online Learning and Educational Resources Branch, which is responsible for setting policy for online learning in the K-12 sector in BC and providing e-learning services for the education and public sectors. We are proud to welcome the return of the Online Learning and Educational Resource Branch as a sponsor of the 2023 report.
