It was a pleasure to be interviewed by Robert Martellacci of MindShare Learning earlier this week.  We noticed that the interview was featured in this edition of the CanAM EdTech Report.

Welcome to th March CanAm EdTech Report top news and highlights in learning & technology across North America.
A little trivia, today officially marks our 16th anniversary year of publishing the MindShare Report! It truly is a Can/Am story as it was inspired by my time at Pepperdine University (Malibu, California) while completing my Masters in EdTech. Through my thesis research I found that there was no specific news source that addressed the burgeoning EdTech sector to help make sense of the complexities of implementing tech infused pedagogy.
Upon graduation, we were challenged to change the world and I decided to laser focus on Canada. I drafted a news release announcing at FETC the launch of the MindShare Report in March of 2007, and the rest as they say, is history.
Fast forward to 2023, my passion for learning and innovation continues with a desire to help the next generation of leaders acquire the essential skills to build a better world.
One of those awesome vehicles to inspire problem solving skills is the Canadian School of the Future [Student Invention Challenge] launching next week! Aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, we are challenging teachers and students to solve ‘real world’ problems within their school community, then share their success story in a short 2-3 minute video submission. Over $1 million in classroom tech prizes have been awarded to date!
In this issue, we share critical insights, trends, and research in the K12 & higher education space to help you optimize and refine learning for and with your students.
I’m pleased to share a few highlights not to be missed in this packed issue below:
1. Leaders & Legends podcast featuring Jennifer Ferrari, CEO, Education Research & Development Institute U.S. reflects on her recent institute and peers into the future of learning
2. C21 Canada Spotlight in conversation Steven Brown, CEO, Nelson Learning on leading digital transformation in the Classroom
3. Leaders & Legends podcast featuring John Gamba, Entrepreneur in Residence, University of Pennsylvania on the Future of Learning, Startups & Entrepreneurship in Education. After a hugely successful exit this man chooses to continue to make an impact on education through is work at UPenn and his family foundation.
4. Prime Minister Award for Teaching Excellence in STEM podcast with Marc Dubeau, Educator, OCDSB
5. EdTech by the Numbers Infograph. It is  predicted that the spend on EdTech will nearly double by 2025 to $404 Billion globally
6. The State of eLearning in Canada Report MindShareTV Podcast featuring Dr. Michael Barbour, Touro University & Randy Labonte, CEO, CANeLearn
7. Infographic: Students’ Use of Technology in School, describing how students use technology, what are the benefits and why improvements are necessary
