Greetings,

I am writing to you as part of the State of the Nation: K-12 e-learning in Canada research project (see https://k12sotn.ca/ ).  The study began in 2008 and documents the state of Canadian K-12 distance, online, and blended learning; and proposes an agenda for the further improvement of e-learning in Canada.  The research and its publications provide a comprehensive guide for those involved in the field of education in Canada who are interested in or involved with K-12 online learning.  More information about the research can be found at https://k12sotn.ca/

We are seeking your involvement to assist us with this research.  Below you will find a link to an individual program survey:

http://tinyurl.com/sotn-program-survey

The survey contains 11 questions about your program offering for the 2019-20 school year.  The information provided will be used to augment information collected from your provincial, territorial or federal Ministry.

The results of each administration of the individual program survey are available on the State of the Nation: K-12 e-learning in Canada project website.

  1. Visit https://k12sotn.ca/
  2. Click on DATA AND INFORMATION
  3. Click on your jurisdiction
  4. Scroll down and all of the data for your jurisdiction is listed, along with the most recent year the data was received.

Please note, for the purposes of this survey e-learning is defined to include all forms of K-12 distance and online education (i.e., correspondence, videoconferencing, and online learning), as well as identified instances of blended learning where at least some portion of education is provided in a face-to-face setting.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.  Thank you in advance for your consideration, time and input into the State of the Nation: K-12 e-learning in Canada research project.

Please note that if you have already completed the survey and are receiving this notice, we thank you for your time.
